Stewardship

SEVEN NON-NEGOTIABLES OF CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP

God Owns Everything: We are stewards of everything God has placed in our trust, but not owners.

God's work must be supported by God's people:
In the plan of God, believers are to support the work of God.

God holds every person accountable:
"...it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy." I Corinthians 4:2

God's will is that we give wisely and generously:
God is delighted when we give out of a willing and joyful heart. He also desires that we give wisely, investing his resources and not squandering them.

God desires equal commitment, not equal contribution: To give sacrificially one must give out of need, not out of abundance.

True sacrifice always results in personal cost to the giver.
God holds more responsible those to whom more is given: As individuals to whom God has given greater position and influence, it is imperative to lead by example as generous, sacrificial givers.

God blesses the giver in proportionate measure: God does not need anything; yet, mysteriously. He wants us to grow in grace by giving to Him and He blesses us.
