Do you desire to see God's powerful hand move at
Northbrook through our leadership and ministries? If
so, join our Partner in Prayer ministry. You can
become a prayer partner for one of our pastors or staff
persons by contacting Kacey McCroskey (kacey@mindspring.com)
or Julie Turner (julieturner@mindspring.com).
John Wesley said...."Give me 100 preachers who
fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I
care not a straw whether they be clergy or laymen,
such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the
kingdom of Heaven on
earth. God does nothing but in answer to
prayer."

As moms we cannot stand idly by and watch our children be shaped by our culture.
We need a plan of action, and God has given us one. We pray, He works!
Were you aware that there was a Moms in Touch group praying
for Crabapple Middle School and the children who attend this school? MIT International
is a ministry where mothers gather to pray specifically for their children and
the schools they attend. For more information on MIT, see www.momsintouch.org.
Our MIT group meets bi-weekly on Thursday mornings from 9:00 - 10:00am at the
home of Shan Florence - 11285 Bowen Road. Julie Turner and Shelli Morrow co-lead
this group. For more information, please contact Julie at julieturner@mindspring.com
or 770-992-6011.

"I urge, first of all,
that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving
be made for everyone. This is good, and pleases our
Savior." (1 Timothy 2:1,3)
Northbrook's prayer ministry invites all who are interested
in praying for the needs of others to participate in
our phone/e-mail prayer chain. No experience required—only
a desire to witness God at work in the lives of His
people.
If you would like the prayer chain to pray for you or
someone you know, please submit your prayer
request. If you do not have access to e-mail, you
may call request into the church office at 770-998-2000
or fill out a prayer request card and place it in the
offering plate.

Come and discover what this ongoing group has found
in the power of prayer. The group prays for personal
needs within and outside the congregation, the needs
of our pastors, our church, and our world. Experience
the soul-satisfying rest in just being with Him, individually
and corporately. The group has been amazed and blessed
by the ways God has faithfully answered their prayers.
The group meets each Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. Prayers
are offered around the altar in the church sanctuary.
All are welcome to come and be prayed for, or prayed
with. |
The Prayer Room is located in the front of the church sanctuary on the pulpit
side. There is comfortable seating, and an altar for kneeling, books and material
on prayer, and the peace-filled presence of God. 24-hour access is available
to the Prayer Room for family, individual, or use by groups. Call Julie Turner
at 770-992-6011, for more information and the combination, for 24 hour access.
All are welcome.
