JOIN US FOR CHRISTMAS MUSIC!
You are invited to join the chancel choir for the Festival of Christmas Music this year. The Festival will be on Sunday, December 13th, at the 9:30 & 11:00 worship services. This year’s presentation will be “Emmanuel, God With Us”, featuring the Chancel Choir, Youth Choir, Orchestra, My Call & Men’s Chorus. We hope to again fill the choir loft with singers, accompanied by the orchestra, to present this program that will inspire the hearts of performer and listener alike and prepare them for the celebration of the birth of our Savior.
The Christmas music will be rehearsed on Wednesday evenings, starting Wednesday, October 7th, at the beginning of the regular chancel choir rehearsal, 7:30-8:15, and during youth choir rehearsal from 6:00-7:00. Child care is provided. A rehearsal schedule and a practice tape or CD will be available to assist your preparation.

The choir sings at the 11:00 service and
practices on Wednesday nights, 7:30-9:00, in the sanctuary
(child care provided). The ability to read music is helpful
but not required. Because of our busy lifestyles, people often
have to be absent from Wednesday evening rehearsal or Sunday
morning. All that is asked is that you are present when you
are able. With more members, the impact of having people missing
is less critical.

Why do we need you? Firstly, having more singers enables us
to do a wider variety of music. For example, when we sing
with the orchestra, it takes a lot of voices to balance the
sound. Secondly, there's safety in numbers! People generally
feel more secure singing when there are more people singing
each part. The most important reason, however, is that more
people will be ministered to through the music ministry, both
as participants and recipients. You cannot be used by God
in service and be untouched. Lastly - Yes, you are needed!
